PACKSYS Innovations – Globule dispenser

Homeopathic remedies (especially globules) have been gaining popularity as an alternative healing method for years. However, the dosage possibilities for globules are limited.

A dispenser specially developed for globules

Our globule dispenser is a system consisting of the actual dispenser and a stand which can also be used as a dosing plate. With the PACKSYS globule dispenser, beads of different sizes can be perfectly dispensed: clean, simple and precise.

From the idea to the prototype to the finished product

With conventional shaking inserts, often more globules are taken than needed. Surplus globules are returned to the packaging, thus contaminating the contents.

The precise and hygienic dosing of globules was therefore a challenge that we took up for the first time in 2009. Two years of intensive work led to our first globule dispenser: a snap-on dosing cap for glass bottles with a pressure mechanism that allowed individual dosing of the small globules directly from the bottle. The development was awarded the German Packaging Prize in 2011.

Over the next few months, the closure was optimised into an entire system made of plastic, which guarantees refill protection, among other things. The globule dispenser was initially sold exclusively to a German company from the pharmaceutical sector. Meanwhile all our customers can benefit from the development. Since 2020 the globule dispenser is freely available for sale.

Functionality

The PACKSYS globule dispenser works by means of a pressure mechanism that opens a small hole at the bottom of the container, through which only one single globule falls out per pressure. The system allows one-handed use, the globules can be dispensed without hand contact onto the enclosed plate and taken from there. The dispenser has been designed in such a way that it is no longer necessary to place it on the head. After use, the tube can simply be inserted into the dosing plate. Thanks to the stand, the globule dispenser stands securely on the shelf.

Safe and clean system

The system is self-contained and therefore guarantees protection against refilling and against contamination by dust or moisture. Once the dosing head has been bounced, it can no longer be removed unnoticed during normal use (protection against tampering). All parts are assembled in a clean room, so the dispenser meets the highest standards of hygiene.

Because it is made entirely of plastic parts, the system is also particularly light and break-proof.
