Stylish airless system (BiB)
The starting point for this development was a customer request for hygienic primary packaging for a cooling gel with high barrier requirements. Easy handling and an attractive design were also required.
Function meets design
The gel dispenser from PACKSYS is a bag-in-bottle airless system, which we have supplemented with a few elements to create a harmonious overall look.
The airless packaging prevents the contents from coming into contact with the ambient air, thus protecting them from contamination and drying out. The system consists of a pump, a bottle/container and a (multi-layer) inner bag. This initially rests against the inner wall of the bottle, but contracts more and more as the product is used up. This allows for excellent residual emptying.
The pump works with a valve (tip seal) that only opens when the pump head is pressed and then closes again immediately afterwards.
Functional and design elements of PACKSYS
- Redesigned cap: now covers the pump completely and creates a uniform packaging appearance
- Ribs on the inside of the cap for a secure fit: pump can be pre-assembled in the cap; pump and cap can be snapped together as one piece during filling
- Attached bottle base with special geometry in the snap-fit area conceals production features (seam, drill holes) while still allowing for the necessary ventilation

- Selectable barrier properties (depending on the filling material)
- Volumes from 30 to 200 ml possible, currently 30 ml available
- Pump stroke volume: 0.5 ml
- For pharmaceutical and cosmetic products
- 360° application
